We would like to show our thank you for your support and loyalty to us by providing free SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt for all domain names registered through us. As the result your domain name will be labeled as "Secure" or "Green Pad Lock" at the web browser address bar.

This process will be performed step by step since we are currently implementing semi-automated features and will be completed within this week. You will notice them by attempting to access your website using https:// prefix. For example, https://www.k-ict.org

They will become fully automated later and all your domain names will be labeled as "Secure". There should be no problem for your domain name if you have previously subscribed to the enterprise SSL certificate including Comodo, GeoTrust, and Symantec.

Temporary SSL certificate   

We are currently secured by Lets Encrypt SSL certificate temporarily due to some technical reasons. We will be operated using EV SSL back soon. This SSL certificate was applied to our Primary Servers those consists of the following services;

We are going to enhance the security level of our server infrastructure by adding the SSL certificate for all domain names at the Primary Server nodes. Immediate maintenance : Platform stability enhancement   

We have detected stability issue (the frequency of automatic switching increased that lead to the inconsistent connection quality) on the Primary Servers regarding on the processor cores. We will perform immediate maintenance on;

Monday, March 30th 2015 from 00:00 till 00:15 (GMT +0800) [Fifteen (15) minutes]

Affected servers are;
Primary Servers including web server, e-mail (incoming and outgoing) server, database (MySQL and Postgres) server, and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server.

Those servers will be downgraded from 128 vCPU cores to 64 vCPU cores in order to increase the processing stability. We will continue servicing downgraded platform till a date that will be notified later. After performing downgrade process the expected result is the decrement in automatic switching that provides higher availability services and server uptime.

There might be inconsistent connection quality and or downtime during maintenance period. There are nothing to be prepared as the process will be automated by machines. We are sorry for inconvenience caused.

We are going to increase the security level of the secure shell gateway (SSH), file transfer protocol (FTP) and eMail servers due to the Distributed Denial of Services (DDOS) attempt found in the system log records.

Those firewall rules will be applied onto the Primary and Extended Servers on;
Sunday, January 25th 2015 at 09:00:00 (GMT +0800)

Note that system firewall will automatically block source IPv4 and IPv6 addresses with the attack attempt as listed below;

1) Failed SSH attempt with 5 and more hits will be blocked for five (5) minutes.
2) FTP attempt with 10 and more hits will be blocked for two (2) minutes.
3) eMail sending attempt with 10 and more hits will be blocked for two (2) minutes.
4) eMail user authentication (POP3 and IMAP) attempt with 10 and more hits will be blocked for two (2) minutes.

POP3 and IMAP clients including Outlook Express, Eudora Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird are excluded from those rules.

Webmail users including Hordemail, Roundcubemail, GoogleMail, YahooMail, and MSN are excluded from those rules.

There will be no service interruptions and you may use existing services as usual.

Security updates : POODLE attack resolution   

We are taking immediate action in order to prevent from the latest digital threat named POODLE attack ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/POODLE ). Most of the secure online services through SSL 3.0 are currently vulnerable to that threat. POODLE attack that impacted TLS was formally announced on Dec. 8 2014.

This update might affect the client-side software including web browsers and eMail clients. We advise you to get the latest update of Mozilla Firefox ( https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ ) in order to be compatible not only with K-WMP updates but also the global Internet world.

Notice : Mail Exchangers (MX) update   

We are going to update existing MX from mail.yourdomain.com to the following records;

1) mx01.afi-pcmaster.net [priority 10]
2) mx02.afi-pcmaster.net [priority 20]
3) mx03.afi-pcmaster.net [priority 30]
4) mx04.afi-pcmaster.net [priority 40]
5) mail.afi-pcmaster.net [priority 50]

The process will be performed on;
Jan 09th 2015
from 00:00:00 till 00:30:00 (GMT +0800) [2 hours]

As the result all incoming email will have backup during any outage (if available) and server automatic switching period. Those backed up emails will be delivered as soon as the main servers available.

There will be no email delivery interruption during the process. You do not need to do anything as the process will be automated by the servers.

Updated SSL security certificates released   

We have added more IP addresses in order to provide Highly Available (HA) online services for you. We have also updated and released new SSL security certificates for the Primary and Extended servers.

You do not need to take any further actions as those processes were automated by the servers.

We are currently using our own SSL certificates for our servers. The hierarchy are as shown below;

At the moment, only the Primary Servers certificate is used. The Extended Servers will be used in the future.

You should see those hierarchy by inspecting the SSL certificate (Mozilla Firefox will display This Connection is Untrusted and Google Chrome will display Your connection is not private) when attempting to access Webmail (Horde, Roundcubemail, and Squirrelmail), phpMyAdmin, phpPgAdmin, and K-WMP version 2.0 . You are advised to download and install the Root CA in the web browsers to get rid of those error message.

Planned maintenance   

Planned maintenance will be performed on Thu, Dec 18th 2014 at 01:45:00 (GMT +0800) until 02:00:00 (15 minutes).

Below are the operations those will be performed;

1) Upgrading swap space from 234GB to 734GB.
2) Upgrading virtual swap space (virtual hosts) from 128GB to 1,024GB.

Below are the services those will be unreachable during this period;

1) Web.
2) Incoming and outgoing eMail.
3) FTP.
4) Databases.
5) K-WMP.

After this period;

1) Servers will be fully operated and more stable in 128 cores processor and 128.0GB RAM.
2) All previous services will be operating as usual.

K-WMP version 2.0 will be officially available for production on January 1st 2015. Our web hosting users will experience K-WMP at https://k-wmp.afi-pcmaster.net/ using existing user ID and password.
